- Responsible for the complete nursing process (assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate)
- Manage and direct nursing care activities during the patient’s hospital stay
- Identify short and long term goals based on patient care needs
- Provide and document nursing intervention based on assessed patient needs, and plan of care
- Collaborate with appropriate health team members for coordination of daily plan of care for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians during treatments and examinations
- Administer medications (including by mouth, rectal, intravenous, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections)
